COURSE DESCRIPTION & OVERALL GOAL

In commemoration of World TB Day, this conference will address TB prevention and control efforts in New York City to highlight progress in the fight against TB. Topics will include a review of local epidemiology, new global recommendations for TB infection, intersection between TB and diabetes, approaches for patient-centered TB care, and opportunities for strengthening community partnerships. Question and answer sessions and a panel discussion are included to enhance interaction and shared experiences.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This conference is open to health care providers (pulmonary, infectious disease, community health, infection control) and health care workers who manage patients at risk for or diagnosed with TB.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION & FEE

The deadline for registration is March 6, 2015.

Registration priority will be given to applicants from the Greater NYC Area. We reserve the right to close registration early or cancel late registrants due to limits on seating capacity.

There is no fee for this conference. However, if you register and are unable to attend, we ask that you inform us as soon as possible so that others may be accommodated.

DIRECTIONS

Please bring a valid photo ID and plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the conference to allow for security clearance in the building.

By Subway:

Gotham Center is centrally located between two large MTA subway stations. Take the E, M, R trains to Queens Plaza and the 7, N and Q trains to Queensboro Plaza. The G train is 5 blocks away at Court Square.

By Bus:

The Q32, Q39, Q60, Q67, Q69, Q100, Q101, Q102 and B62 bus lines stop within a few blocks from Gotham Center.

By Train:

Take the Long Island Railroad and switch trains at the Jamaica station and take the connections to Hunters Point Avenue. From the Hunters Point Avenue station, walk across the street to the Hunters Point subway station and take the 7 train two stops to Queensboro Plaza.

By Car:
